Pastor Nelson Baez is an ordained minister licensed by Elim Fellowship since 2006. He currently has the privilege of serving as the Elim NYC Regional Director with his lovely wife, Pastor Valerie Baez. Pastor Nelson has been the Senior Pastor of God’s House of Healing & Restoration for 15 years and has served on the missions field in India, Trinidad, Puerto Rico and Cuba. He is also known for his ministry of worship as a worship leader in Warriors of Worship (W.O.W). Pastor Nelson is very active in men’s ministry which include Men's retreats, conferences, and breakfast events.
Pastor Nelson was born and raised in Queens. His childhood consisted of an absentee father, and unfortunately, sexual abuse. He quickly learned the street life and started using drugs at the age of 12. He became a drug dealer, drug abuser, heavy gambler, and had his share of trouble with the law. Sadly, Pastor Nelson spent 25 years of his life addicted to drugs such as crack/cocaine. His drug abuse led him to a life of homelessness, shelters, and multiple drug rehabilitation centers.
On January 19, 1982, Pastor Nelson was introduced to a man named “Jesus”. That’s when the journey of healing and restoration began in his life. Today, by the grace of God He spearheads a ministry of God’s unconditional love and acceptance. He uses his own life experience to carry a message of restoration to the addict, homeless, sick, and suffering. It is a message of God’s great love and infinite grace. He now lives to be a voice in the wilderness, testifying of God’s forgiveness and life changing power!
Pastor Nelson has been married to his beautiful wife, Pastor Valerie Baez, for 38 years and is the proud father of three beautiful and anointed women of God, Jennifer C. Alarcon, Jessica Rodriquez, and Naomi G. Baez. He's also the proud grandfather to Jennalyse, Marianna, Annalyse and Tabitha.

Pastor Val is a native New Yorker, and has a passion to serve, encourage, mentor, and educate NYC women from all walks of life. Her pioneering, and visionary spirit has given birth to women’s retreats and conferences, specifically designed to help women experience the supernatural, transforming power of God. As the founder of Warriors of Worship (W.O.W), a worship ministry that transcends singing and ushers in the prophetic anointing, Pastor Val is committed to training and raising up the next generation of prophetic worshipers and women leaders.
Her passion and heart is for the women of the streets, drug addicts, and lost souls. Unconditional love and Unconditional commitment reign in her life. She is a Mother of Israel, mentoring daughters of Jerusalem who have never had the true love of a biological mother. Her focus has been to let the women who are hurting know that God has not forgotten them, and He has been calling them to return to their position on the battlefield. She believes it is time for the trained and skilled women of God to answer the call of the Father and make a difference in our world today. She relays Gods’ message that we are God’s Hidden treasure, a pearl of great value to be displayed at this time.
Pastor Val resides in Woodhaven, New York with her husband of 38 years. She has three beautiful daughters, Jennifer, Jessica, and Naomi, who serve alongside her in ministry and is the loving grandmother to Jennalyse, Marianna, Annalyse and Tabitha.
